Empower IT to empower others – Through training courses we want to give digital tools to youth workers to improve their skills, empower them selves and learn how to empower others. Through youth exchanges we want to support personal and professional development of youngsters and with 3 activities – 2 seven days Youth Exchanges and 1 eight day training course in 36 months period with 10 partner organizations. We want them to exchange experiences on the different ways of empowerment, influencing local community and improving their position on labor market by using non-formal methods, tools – analog and digital for peer learning and self-assessment. After COVID-19 measures which mostly influenced young people lives, our objective is to help them get their regular and normal lives back and get power back to their hands. Especially we want them for that to use tools they have always in their hands – Information and digital technology.
This objective is linked to empowering young people to take initiative in their communities through digital tools. Through activities they we will also work on raising their entrepreneurial spirit. We want to increased awareness on their EU citizenship, as young people will be encouraged to get involved actively in their societies. We will give young people and youth workers tools and exchange experiences, improve their competences and make them participants in active change. By that we hope that they will start modeling their communities as places more livable for them, which will result with more young people staying or returning to their hometowns. Big part of tools they will use are digital tools – through virtual cooperation we will improve their digital competences.
