Empowering Youth Work: LUMEN Team at “Timetable Crafting Lab” in Poland

Earlier this summer, our members Petar, Esra, and Marko had the opportunity to take part in the international training course “Timetable Crafting Lab”, held in the charming city of Zamość, Poland, and hosted by our long-time partner Heureka Generator.

The main goal of the training was to strengthen participants’ skills in creating effective, engaging, and well-structured educational programs for youth work. Over several days, youth workers from different countries came together to:

  • Share experiences from their own organizations and projects.
  • Analyze real-life examples of well-designed and poorly-designed timetables.
  • Reflect on what makes a youth program truly engaging, meaningful, and impactful.

In addition to timetable design, the training also explored:

  • Intercultural learning – building understanding and respect across cultures.
  • Team building – fostering trust and cooperation in diverse groups.
  • Balancing structure and flexibility – finding the sweet spot in non-formal education where planning meets creativity.

Our team came back full of new tools, fresh perspectives, and innovative ideas for shaping future Erasmus+ youth exchanges and training courses. The experience reminded us that a good program is not just about what’s on paper – it’s about creating the right conditions for meaningful connections and learning to happen.

A big thank you to Heureka Generator for the warm hospitality, inspiring sessions, and for creating such a welcoming space for professional growth and intercultural exchange. We are excited to put our new skills into practice and share the benefits with the young people we work with!
